Now open: A Mile in My Shoes in Montréal, Canada!

Bring Empathy Museum to you

Empathy Museum works collaboratively and we’re always keen to build new relationships both in the UK and further afield. If you’d like to bring an Empathy Museum exhibit to your town, organisation or birthday party, please bear a couple of things in mind:

TIME, TIME, TIME

In each location, our small team work with people from that community to develop a bespoke iteration of our exhibits. For this reason, we like to start conversations about collaborations as early as possible.

MONEY, MONEY, MONEY

Presenting an exhibit requires financial resources, and our host or commissioner holds some responsibility for this. Costs will vary with local factors, so we can’t estimate a figure without knowing details of your idea.

If we haven’t totally put you off yet, please email us with your idea!

Frequently asked questions

  • Every version of our exhibits is different in each location since there are so many dependent factors in making it happen. Please email us with details of your idea so we can work up a budget.

  • We love hearing of other people making art around the topic of empathy, but please use your own ideas! Empathy Museum is our creation, and we put a lot of time and love and thought and energy into it so please don’t copy it.

  • It’s always exciting to explore long-term partnerships where we can create something entirely new, but please bear in mind we are a small team and this can be a big undertaking. Alternatively, some of our existing collection can be selected to suit particular themes. For example, our A Mile in My Shoes collection has more than 350 stories to choose from. That said, it’s always nice to be emailed with new ideas too!
